| For those who hate Goku's characterization in Super, who do you blame? Toei or Toriyama? | |

I think the problem with Super is, especially currently, that he doesn't learn from his mistakes or at least seem phased or regretful for very long. When he spared Freeza it wasn't just reckless, it was also mercy. When he gave Cell the senzu bean, he was quickly lectured by Piccolo and learnt that Gohan wasn't like him, he regretted what he'd done and wanted to take a senzu and fight Cell again. In Super he just doesn't seem to care that universes are in jeopardy and still acts like Zeno is his friend. He may have a serious expression for one second and the next he's opting to train Caulifla in the middle of the ring and getting excited that Jiren will be a good fight. |
